With Over 300 Procedures Completed, Arkansas Orthopedic Doctor Uses Novo Stitch Plus System to Keep Patient Running Toward Marathon Dream in Tokyo

FREMONT, Calif. – Mar. 14, 2018 – Dr. Chris Dougherty has completed more than 300 meniscus repairs with the Novo Stitch Plus. For one patient with a torn meniscus, the repair with the Novo Stitch Plus system meant keeping his active lifestyle after his surgery. Traditionally, a severely torn meniscus meant removal, which increases the chance of arthritis later on. With Dr. Dougherty’s expertise with the Novo Stitch Plus, he was able to repair the meniscus, and in less than six months, his patient was ready to run the Tokyo Marathon.
