Ceterix Orthopaedics Announces Two Key Executive Promotions

Michael Hendricksen to Chief Operating Officer & Mark Saxton to Vice President of Sales and Marketing

FREMONT, Calif. – Feb. 28, 2018 – Medical device company, Ceterix® Orthopaedics, Inc., developer of novel surgical tools for arthroscopic procedures, announces the promotions of Michael Hendricksen to Chief Operating Officer and Mark Saxton to Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Hendricksen, previously Vice President of R&D and Manufacturing for the company, has been with Ceterix for seven years and was instrumental in the development and commercial acceptance of the NovoStitch® Plus Meniscal Repair System.  Mr. Hendricksen brings years of product development experience to Ceterix with over 60 issued and pending patents.  Mr. Hendricksen has previously served in leadership positions most notably at Foundry Newco XI and Emphasys Medical.  In his new role, Mr. Hendricksen will oversee the company’s R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory functions.

Mr. Saxton, previously Vice President of Sales for the company, has been instrumental in efforts to re-shape and optimize the Ceterix sales team.  His efforts have led to the development of 12 new direct sales managers and territories while streamlining operations with 21 medical device distributors.  Mr. Saxton brings over twenty years of sales and marketing experience to Ceterix and has served as Vice President in Sales and Marketing roles at Integer, Neuronetics and VNUS Medical.  VNUS Medical was acquired in 2009 by Covidien for approximately $440 million.  In his new role, Mr. Saxton will assume responsibility for all commercial operations, overseeing sales and marketing.
